Greater Kudu (Tragelaphus strepsiceros)

The Kudu is the biggest antelope on the farm. The bull is marked by its spiral horns. Their bodymass can vary from 150 kg up to 400 kg. Their preferred habitat, differs between hills and regions well-bushed. Kudu are mainly browsers.

 

 

 

Female Kudus are veary cautious and therefor stalking can be more difficult, because they are mostly appear in herds.

 

 

 

Kudus prefer hillsides and bushy areas.
