Since 1 April 2025, German citizens have been required to hold a valid visa to enter Namibia for tourism purposes. This visa is issued with a validity of 90 days and generally permits multiple entries (\"multiple entry\").<\/span><\/p>

The following visa application options are available:

<\/span><\/p>

  1. Visa on Arrival ( Online Visa)<\/strong>:<\/a> The Namibian Ministry of Home Affairs recommends applying for your visa online as an e-Visa before commencing your journey.

  3. Visa application through the Namibian Embassy<\/a> <\/strong>in Berlin.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>

    In all other cases\u2014including business travel or unpaid activities such as internships, study programs, volunteer service, etc.\u2014a visa is required and must be applied for well in advance of entry into Namibia. The application can be submitted online<\/a><\/strong> or directly through the Namibian Embassy<\/a><\/strong> submitted.<\/span><\/p>

    Journalists intending to work in Namibia require a work visa and, where applicable, accreditation from the Namibian Ministry of Information and Communication Technology, which should ideally be obtained before entering the country. Processing times may take up to four weeks. The relevant contact point for inquiries and applications is the Embassy of the Republic of Namibia.<\/a>

    Traveling from Germany to Namibia is straightforward. At present, direct flights are primarily offered by two airlines: Eurowings\/Lufthansa<\/strong>.<\/p>

    Alternatively, you can also travel to Namibia with stopovers via Ethiopian Airways<\/strong> or British Airways<\/strong> Another option is to travel via South Africa, with a connecting flight at OR Tambo International Airport<\/strong> in Johannesburg.<\/p>

    A direct flight to Windhoek (Hosea Kutako International Airport) takes approximately eleven hours.<\/p><\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

    \n\t\tTraveling with Children\t<\/h2>\n\t\t\t

    For entry into Namibia all minors under the age of 18 must present<\/strong> in addition to a valid passport an original international (English-language) birth certificate<\/strong> present. This document must include the full names of both parents<\/strong> contain.<\/p>
