Trophy hunting is permitted from 1 February to 30 November each year. Recommended duration of the hunt: 7–14 days
Bringing your hunting firearm into Namibia is straightforward. We will assist you with all the necessary documents and formalities to ensure that your arrival and hunting preparations go smoothly. Upon request, we will provide you with all the required information and forms in advance.
All hunting activities in Namibia require the appropriate permits. Farm Garib arranges all hunting permits and official documentation for the game species you have booked, allowing you to focus entirely on your hunting experience.
For travellers entering Namibia directly from Europe, there are generally no mandatory vaccinations. A yellow fever vaccination is only required when entering from a country with a risk of yellow fever transmission. There is a risk of malaria in some northern regions of Namibia, so appropriate protection against mosquito bites is recommended. Please note: We recommend seeking medical or travel health advice before your trip.
The right equipment is essential for a successful hunt. We are happy to advise you on suitable clothing, optics and other equipment for Namibia’s climatic conditions.
Safety and responsibility are our top priorities. Our hunts are professionally guided and conducted in accordance with applicable Namibian regulations. We recommend taking out appropriate travel and hunting liability insurance.
Most international flights to Namibia arrive at Hosea Kutako International Airport, approximately 45 km outside Windhoek. Direct flights from Europe are offered by Discover Airlines from Frankfurt Airport, among others, with a flight time of around 10–11 hours. Further connections are available with airlines such as Ethiopian Airlines, Qatar Airways, Emirates and South African Airways, usually with a stopover at an international hub. After arrival, travellers can conveniently continue their journey by rental car, transfer or domestic flight.
