About Us
Farm Garib is located on the edge of the Kalahari and covers an area of 43.000 hectares.
Farm Garib was founded in 1910 by Hans Lühl from Westphalia, Germany. Through a hunting partnership with four neighbouring farms, the hunting area has been expanded to a total of 43,000 hectares.
The entire area is unfenced, allowing wildlife to move freely beyond the boundaries of the individual farms. Today, the hunting area is home to natural populations of kudu, oryx, hartebeest, warthog, springbok, duiker and steenbok, as well as a variety of game birds and predators.
Garib is part of a farm pool established in 2015, comprising four farms with a combined area of 43,000 hectares. The main objective of this cooperative approach is to facilitate the free movement of wildlife, supporting sustainable trophy hunting and maintaining high trophy quality throughout the area. Various additional species can be hunted on neighbouring farms upon request. The main hunting methods include walking, stalking and spot-and-stalk hunting, ensuring a fair-chase hunting experience.
